Spot check on the traffic
At almost every bigger village the traffic must pass a check point. Sometimes police officers come into the bus, sometimes you have to show your passport, mostly not. There is sometimes waiting time.
The other way round than on the Northern Hemisphere! Amazing!
Only the most important streets and roads are paved. The other roads are often gravel roads.
Important streets in villages or towns are often very, very wide but the is no or only a really small sidewalk.
Mostly there are no paintings on the roads, eg. there are hardly any crosswalks. In the bigger towns you find some traffic lights but almost only for cars, not for pedestrians.
