Arrived at El Chaltén we soon find one of the only open restaurants. It has a really cool decoration and the food is just delicious!
El Chaltén is much cleaner than Ushuaia but as we can't find the itinerary to our first hike we end at the disposal site... Didn't know that this belongs to a National Park... Even if it's cleaner there is a lot of garbage in the village (if you are used to Switzerland).
On our first hike into the National Park we soon cross the point where you should have registered. The landscape is varied, steppe, a waterfall, some still frozen lakes and epic mountains. We can't see any mountain lions but since our visit to the National Park Centre we know: „they might be near you, but you won't see them“...
Coming home we realize that some others from the Swiss delegation stay in the same hostel.
We eat at the same restaurant like at noon and – as the other Swiss are there too – we enjoy a great evening.
